Reach for the Stars

I decided to enter the Lloyds TSB Art of Nurture competition again this year. The image is based on the theme 'We Stretch Ourselves'; my idea being that space exploration is the most extreme expression of humanity stretching themselves to their limits. It is also a basic play on the idea of 'reaching for the stars,' reaching for improvement.

Trick

My Mum and her boyfriend play both covers and their own songs and are working on their first album together. It's a local-to-Suffolk thing but they asked me to design them a logo. This is what I've come up with.

Butterfly Conservation Charity Posters

Uni project 'Endangered Species.' The brief was to come up with 4 posters on an endangered species and I found the 'Butterfly conservation' charity online and designed posters for 4 of their appeals.
These posters are based on moth and butterfly wing patterns. The backgrounds are monoprints and scanned paint textures and the lettering and their logo are all hand-drawn.

I couldn't hang around as I had a society event running in the afternoon, but I thought our stall at the Mill Road Winter Fair looked awesome so I thought I'd put up one of the photos I took:

Xmas Cards for Winter Fair

The third years on my course traditionally have a stall selling our own creations at the Mill Road Winter fair in Cambridge. Alongside the zine image I've already posted, I designed three Christmas cards which will be sold on the stall.

Mill Road Zine

I'm in my final year if my Illustration BA now and it's traditional for 3rd years to have a stall at the Mill Road Winter Fair in order to raise funds for the final year degree show. A couple of guys in my class are putting together a zine of peoples work with a Cambridge theme. I've got so much to do at the moment that I didn't have time to draw something entirely new so I cobbled this together using some sketchbook drawings from the zoology museum and a post-it note. Hopefully it looks pretty good! :3
